Since June 2023, Jiangsu Weikai Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. has been using 12 sets of orifice-feed vibroflotation equipment from Beijing Vibroflotation Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. simultaneously in the vibroflotation construction of Section 1 of the land formation and ground treatment of the Daxiaodeng reclamation project.

Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport is located at the southeast end of Dadeng Island, Dadeng Subdistrict, Xiang'an District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, China, approximately 22 kilometers west of Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and about 25 kilometers southwest of the downtown area of Xiamen Island. It is a 4F-class regional international hub airport on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait and a gateway hub airport of the Maritime Silk Road.

The project is located in Section 1 of the land formation and ground treatment of the Daxiaodeng reclamation project within Xiang'an Airport. The main construction contents include: land formation works, cofferdam (separation dike) works, ground treatment works and other construction contents; the main construction work is vibroflotation densification, full compaction and vibratory rolling ground treatment of the unloaded area.

In the midst of the scorching summer, on the project site shrouded in yellow sand, the workers of Jiangsu Weikai are intensively carrying out various ground treatment constructions. Beijing Vibroflotation Engineering Machinery has provided 12 sets of vibroflotation equipment for the project, which are the main force for the vibroflotation densification construction of the project; under harsh conditions such as 40-degree high temperatures and complex strata, the equipment of Beijing Vibroflotation Engineering Machinery still relies on its extremely strong adaptability to working conditions and excellent performance to effectively guarantee the progress of the project.

On this hot land of development in Dadeng, Xiang'an, tower cranes stand in great numbers, traffic flows in a steady stream, and the sounds of metal welding, whistle blasts and ground dynamic compaction interweave, jointly converging into the "charge call" of the project construction's striving and rush work.

The current phase of the Xiang'an Airport project is scheduled to achieve air navigation in 2026. After being put into use, it can meet the usage demand of an annual passenger throughput of 45 million person-times, a cargo and mail throughput of 750,000 tons, and 380,000 aircraft takeoffs and landings. It will become an important international airport, a regional hub airport and a gateway airport for cross-strait exchanges in China, providing important support for Xiamen to build a strategic pivot in the core area of the Maritime Silk Road.
