Recently, a fleet of five XCMG rotary drilling rigs moved into the Guangzhou Global Trade Plaza (Guangzhou South Station ICC) project. With equipment roaring continuously and construction in full swing, a world-class super-large TOD is rising from the ground.

To support the diverse functions of the project's office towers, shopping malls, hotels, residences, apartments and public transport facilities, the project is designed with 625 building foundation piles, with diameters including 800mm, 1000mm, 1400mm and 1600mm, and pile depths ranging from 10 to 30 meters. The strata are complex: below 13 meters is all mudstone, which has strong water absorption and cementation properties and is prone to unfavorable conditions such as drilling tool slippage, bit suction and bit balling, placing high demands on construction methods.

It is understood that the five rotary drilling rigs currently in operation are all "standout performers" commonly seen on construction sites in the Guangdong region, long known for their powerful performance, efficient construction, rugged durability and high cost-effectiveness. The five XCMG rotary drilling rigs forged ahead at full power, completing the 625 piles in just two months, ahead of schedule, and winning unanimous praise from the project owner, fully demonstrating the strong performance of XCMG products—ready to fight and sure to win.
