Longhuakou Water Diversion Project construction accelerated
Shanxi

Recently, at six construction sites of civil works sections 01 and 02 of the Longhuakou Water Diversion Project in Yu County, Yangquan City, Shanxi Province, multiple heavy machinery and equipment such as excavators and transport vehicles are shuttling back and forth, and construction workers are full of energy and working hard.
The Longhuakou Water Diversion Project is an important part of the Xinzhou-Yangquan line, the 'second horizontal' of Shanxi's Grand Water Network, and is a livelihood project to ensure the safety of urban and rural water supply in Yangquan. The project mainly consists of three parts: the Hutuo River water intake hub project, the Longhuakou Reservoir water replenishment project, and the water diversion project from Longhuakou Reservoir to Yu County and Yangquan urban area. With a total investment of 2.03 billion yuan, the total length of the water supply pipeline is 81.64 kilometers, and the designed annual water supply capacity is 50 million cubic meters. Once completed, the project will be of great significance in changing the current situation of a single water source for Yangquan's water supply, ensuring the safety of urban and rural water supply, and promoting water pollution prevention and control. It will effectively improve the regional water supply capacity and provide strong water support and guarantee for Yangquan's economic and social development and the people's better life.
The 'downstream of No. 3 tunnel - outlet' section of the headwater diversion tunnel of Fengshan Reservoir Project successfully holed through
Guizhou

Recently, the 'downstream of No. 3 tunnel - outlet' section of the headwater diversion tunnel of the Fengshan Reservoir Project in Guizhou Province successfully holed through, marking the successful completion of another important control project of the Fengshan Reservoir Project.
The Fengshan Reservoir Project is one of the 172 major national water conservation and supply projects and is also the leading project in Guizhou Province's '13th Five-Year Plan' water conservancy planning and construction. Among them, the headwater diversion tunnel has a total length of 8.96 kilometers and is divided into 9 working faces. Currently, the excavation and support construction of 4 working faces have been completed.
It is understood that the project plans to achieve the important goals of full-line holing through and completion of tunnel lining within the year before July 30, 2023.
The first main tunnel section of Shizishan Tunnel in Dali Section II of the Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project successfully holed through
Yunnan

On May 11, the main tunnel section between branch tunnels 3# and 4# of the Shizishan Tunnel in Dali Section II of the Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project successfully holed through, marking a phased victory for the control project of Dali Section II.
The Shizishan Tunnel has a total length of 29.42 kilometers and is equipped with 5 branch tunnels. The main tunnel section between branch tunnels 3# and 4# that holed through this time is 5,049 meters long. The tunnel passes through the Chenghai-Binchuan active fault zone and the Wulongba syncline structure. During construction, prominent difficulties such as large deformation of extremely soft rock under high external water pressure and crossing active fault zones were encountered. At the same time, an extremely rare geological problem of basalt water-bearing lava cavities was also encountered. It is a control project of Dali Section II of the Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project.
The Gansu Central Ecological Migration Poverty Alleviation Development Water Supply Project fully holed through
Gansu

Recently, with the successful no-load operation of the No. 6 main canal pumping station and the smooth pouring of the last concrete warehouse in the inlet connection section of Jianshan Tunnel, the backbone project of the Gansu Central Ecological Migration Poverty Alleviation Development Water Supply Project has been fully holed through and is ready for full-line water supply. It is expected to be put into operation in mid-May. It is understood that this project has a total of 17 pumping stations, 25 tunnels, and 323 kilometers of open channels on the main canal. After water supply, it will fundamentally solve the water shortage problem in 10 townships in Jingyuan and Pingchuan counties of Baiyin City, directly benefiting 145,400 people and irrigating 455,100 mu of land, including 300,000 mu of newly added irrigation area. The project will fill the shortcomings of water conservancy infrastructure construction in central Gansu and form a large irrigation district with a total irrigation area of more than 600,000 mu.
