On February 8, the right-line shield machine for the Jiangshuiquan Road Station–Hongshan Road Station section of Section 07 of Phase I of Jinan Rail Transit Line 4, constructed by the Third Company of China Railway 18th Bureau Group, was successfully launched, marking that Section 07 of Jinan Metro Line 4 has officially entered the shield construction stage.

Section 07 of Jinan Rail Transit Line 4, constructed by the Third Company of China Railway 18th Bureau Group, is the largest bid section of the entire line. "Yukun No. 1" is the shield machine for this bid section, with a diameter of 6.68 meters and a total length of 85 meters. It is mainly responsible for the tunneling construction tasks of the right-line section from Jiangshuiquan Road Station to Hongshan Road Station and the left-line section from Shanda Road Station to Yanshan Overpass East Station. The right-line section from Jiangshuiquan Road Station to Hongshan Road Station being excavated this time has a total length of 481 meters.

The project team planned ahead, used digital and intelligent means to strengthen safety management and technical control, increased on-site technical personnel training in shield construction, and continuously optimized the construction organization plan according to construction characteristics. After more than 20 consecutive days of operation, the work of shield machine hoisting, assembly, and joint commissioning and testing was successfully completed. At the same time, video monitoring for shield management and the company's information system were used to carry out 24-hour monitoring of on-site operations and safety, quality, progress, and risk sources, ensuring that the shield machine was launched on time and safely. Wang Baihui, manager of the company's East China Management Department and secretary of the Party Working Committee, said that they will stay focused on the goals, strengthen confidence, build a high-quality project, and complete the shield construction task to high standards.
