Xi'an Metro Line 10 is about 34.2 km long. Section 2 of the project runs from Shuilu Road Station in the south to Shenglu Village Station in the north, connecting the Port Affairs Zone and Gaoling District, and includes two road-rail combined bridges — the Jinghe Bridge and the Weihe Bridge — and one transfer station, Jingwei Station.

The Weihe Grand Bridge is the main controlling works of Zone 2 in Section 2 of Metro Line 10. It is 1,412 m long, with a total steel structure weight of about 63,000 tonnes. Its maximum span is 300 m, and both its span and continuous length rank first in Asia among bridges of the same type.

The Weihe Bridge crosses the Weihe River, the Jingwei Peninsula and the Jinghe River, with a maximum span of 300 m, making it the largest-span road-rail combined bridge project in Northwest China. The Weihe Grand Bridge is a two-level road-rail bridge: its main girder is a curved stiffened continuous steel truss structure; the upper level carries dual-direction six-lane traffic at a design speed of 80 km/h; the lower level has metro tracks in the middle at a design speed of 100 km/h, dual-direction four-lane traffic on both sides at a design speed of 40 km/h, and pedestrian walkways and viewing corridors on the outermost sides, forming a three-dimensional transport system linking the three banks of the Weihe and Jinghe rivers.
