Introduction

On the morning of January 9, Song Lewei, Secretary of the Xuzhou Municipal Party Committee, led a delegation of more than 60 people from the city's major industrial project inspection tour to the XCMG Foundation Intelligent Manufacturing Base in Jiawang to observe the construction progress of major industrial projects on site.

Wang Jianfeng, Deputy Secretary of the Xuzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Wang Qiang, Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC; Han Dongmei, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; and other leaders from counties and districts across the city participated in the event. Yang Dongsheng, Chairman of XCMG Group and XCMG Machinery and Secretary of the Party Committee, and Lu Chuan, President of XCMG Machinery and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, accompanied the delegation.

The delegation was briefed on the overall construction progress of the XCMG Foundation Intelligent Manufacturing Base and its intelligent transformation and digital upgrading, and visited the intelligent manufacturing workshop for piling machinery as well as the complete sets of construction equipment for foundation engineering.

In the intelligent manufacturing workshop for piling machinery, Song Lewei inquired about the intelligent assembly of rotary drilling rigs—the flagship products that earned the company its first batch of national manufacturing single-champion titles—as well as the manufacturing of core components, digital production management, and intelligent production lines. He also learned in detail about the diesel-electric hybrid rotary drilling rig, its energy-saving costs, and functions such as energy recovery during drill pipe lowering.

At the display ground for complete sets of foundation engineering construction equipment, 21 intelligent products for fields such as pile foundations, coal mines, tunnels, pipe network construction, and resource extraction were lined up in sequence. Song Lewei held detailed discussions with on-site personnel about the construction applications of XCMG products including pipe jacking machines, tunnel boring machines, bolter miners, and deep-well drilling rigs.

The delegation experienced on site the fervent atmosphere and drive behind the construction of major industrial projects.

The XCMG Foundation Intelligent Manufacturing Base involves fixed-asset investment of 5 billion yuan and covers an area of 1,663 mu. It is a provincial and municipal major project and also the technical transformation project with the largest single investment scale, the greatest difficulty, and the greatest challenge in XCMG Group's history.

The project's investment in intelligent and green products will help elevate Xuzhou's industrial level to greater sophistication and advance its production technology, further consolidating its status as the "Capital of China's Construction Machinery" and pooling efforts to build a national advanced manufacturing cluster.
