The newly built Xi'an-Chongqing High-Speed Railway Ankang-Chongqing (within Shaanxi Province) line starts from Ankang West Station of the Xi'an-Ankang High-Speed Railway, crosses the Han River southward, then goes upstream along the Lan River to Langao County; after setting up a station, it goes upstream along the Tao River, passes through the Daba Mountains (tunnel length 14,172 m) and reaches the Shaanxi-Chongqing provincial boundary. Mileage range: DK0+734.55 to DK81+000. The total length of the newly built line is 80.27 km, including 13 bridges with a length of 5.26 km and 14 tunnels with a length of 74.12 km. The total length of bridges and tunnels is 79.38 km, with a bridge-tunnel ratio of 98.9%. There is one station, Langao Station. The design speed is 350 km/h, and the construction period is 6 years.

The newly built Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway leads from Xi'an North Station and Xi'an East Station, passing through Gaoling District and Yanliang District of Xi'an City, Fuping County of Weinan City, Yaozhou District, Wangyi District, Yintai District and Yijun County of Tongchuan City, and Huangling County, Luochuan County, Fu County, Ganquan County and Baota District of Yan'an City, to the existing Yan'an Station of the Baotou-Xi'an Railway. The main line of the project has a total length of 287.10 km and a design speed of 350 km/h. The construction period is 4.5 years. The main line length of the section from Xi'an East Station (exclusive) to Tongchuan Station (inclusive) of the Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway is 91.162 km. The line passes through Xi'an City, Weinan City and Tongchuan City in sequence. The design speed is 350 km/h. The project capital accounts for 50% of the total investment, funded by China State Railway Group and Shaanxi Province; funds beyond the capital will use domestic bank loans. The project contribution ratio is 42% for China State Railway Group and 58% for Shaanxi Province. The construction period is 3 years.

IV. Project Overview:

The project construction starts at the intersection of G309 Qinglan Line and S242 Linshang Line in the northeast of Boping Town, Chiping County. It turns northwest west of Doutang Village, goes west south of Guozhuang Village, passes through the south of Dasang Village and Yangguantun Village, intersects at grade with G240 Baotai Line north of Xiaozhai Village, crosses the South-to-North Water Diversion Main Canal west of Huiminli Village, crosses the old course of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal southeast of Wangtun Village, continues west and intersects at grade with S246 Linzou Line north of Liangshui Town, passes under the Beijing-Kowloon Railway west of Fangtun Village, passes under the Dezhou-Shanghai Expressway east of Qiuzhuang Village along the Majia River, continues southwest along the Majia River, crosses the Weishan Third Main Canal south of Wangpu Village, turns south and follows the west embankment of the existing Weishan Third Main Canal, passes under the Handan-Jinan Railway southeast of Sanlizhuang Village, and finally ends at the at-grade intersection with the existing G309 Qinglan Line east of Tangyi Town, Dongchangfu District.

Construction content and scale: The project route construction mileage is 37.397 km in total, with asphalt concrete pavement, constructed to the technical standard of a two-way four-lane Class I highway, design speed 80 km/h, subgrade width 25.5 m and 31.5 m. The whole line includes 1,139 m/2 large bridges, 213.58 m/4 medium bridges, 19.04 m/1 small bridge, and 107 culverts; 3 separated grade interchanges and 28 at-grade intersections; and 1 new maintenance work area.
