Recently, at the capacity replacement and upgrading project of Yunnan Yuxi Yukun Iron and Steel Group, more than 20 XCMG rotary drilling rigs are accelerating the foundation pile work for Phase II of the project.

The project's strata are mainly soft soil. A single XCMG XR240E rotary drilling rig achieved a maximum daily footage of 300 meters, setting the project record for the highest daily footage. Its performance was remarkable, and the customer decided on the spot: order three more!

The Yukun project is an important part of the "Yunnan Green Steel City." Phase I has now been completed, and Phase II is undergoing pile foundation construction. Once completed, its annual output value will exceed 36 billion yuan, making it the largest private steel enterprise group in Southwest China with industry-leading technical standards in China.

As a new-generation E-series medium-tonnage piling product from XCMG, the XR240E is widely used for hole-forming operations for cast-in-place concrete piles in highways, railways, bridges, large venues, and other projects.

For the project's reinforced concrete cast-in-place piles with pile diameters of 0.8 m to 1.2 m and pile depths of 30 m to 40 m, 13 XR240E units complete 5 to 6 piles per day on average. Compared with similar products on the project, the XR240E saves an average of 100 liters of fuel per unit per day while increasing hole-forming efficiency by 10%. "Fast hole forming, low fuel consumption, and up to 300 meters a day drilling dry holes on site," the on-site operators praised repeatedly.

During Phase I of the project, more than ten XCMG rotary drilling rigs owned by customer Mr. Ji were in full operation. XCMG set up a dedicated spare parts warehouse at the project site, with service personnel stationed on site 24 hours a day for support, and the project's pile foundation construction was completed on schedule and with high quality. Mr. Ji said, "After Phase I was completed, 13 XCMG rotary drilling rigs are working simultaneously on Phase II to ensure the project is completed on schedule!"

Customer Mr. Luo, who is also participating in the project, likewise praised it:

"The XCMG XR240E is one of the most mature rotary drilling rig products in the industry and is known in Yunnan as the 'little steel cannon for building construction.' Our company already has two XCMG rotary drilling rigs working on the site, and the three newly ordered XR240E units will also be put into this project. I believe they will make us even stronger."

Through capacity replacement, a highly efficient, intelligent, green, high-end, and large-scale integrated steel enterprise is being built. As XCMG's golden drill pipes drill and lift, the blessed land of central Yunnan and the water towns of the Yunling region will gain another "green steel garden city"!
