On November 22, 2020, the world's first motor-direct-drive pure electric rotary drilling rig was officially released in Hangzhou, pioneering electric rotary drilling rigs in China. To meet equipment needs under different construction scenarios, Yutong Heavy Equipment continued to explore and successively launched the world's first extended-range electric rotary drilling rig in 2021. To date, its product models cover various electric rotary drilling rigs from 166 to 506, and the equipment has been used across 12 provincial-level administrative regions nationwide, with cumulative operation exceeding 20,000 hours. 2,000 hours of operation, saving 300,000 yuan in fuel

Fujian Zhong'ao purchased a Yutong YTR236HE extended-range electric rotary drilling rig in early 2022. According to measured data from the Zhangzhou Jiaomei Sewage Treatment Plant project site, after 2,000 hours of use, it saved nearly 300,000 yuan in fuel costs, greatly alleviating the company's cash flow problems. Compared with fuel-powered machines, the extended-range electric rotary drilling rig saves half the energy consumption in hybrid mode and two-thirds in pure electric mode, and saves even more under pure rock-cutting conditions. On October 28, 2022, the first drilling ceremony for the Yutong Heavy Equipment YTR506HE extended-range electric rotary drilling rig was officially held, supporting the construction of the Shudao Group's Yanjiang Expressway and opening a new era of green and low-carbon construction.
