Recently, with the smooth pouring of the last batch of concrete for Pile 52-1# of the Baiyanhua Grand Bridge, the pile foundation construction task for the Bayannur section of the Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway Lot 1, undertaken by China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau Group, has been fully completed.

Lot 1 of the Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway is located in Baotou City and Bayannur City, with a total line length of 57.369 kilometers, of which 24.41 kilometers lies within our city, comprising a total of 2,000 piles, 218 pile caps, and 218 pier bodies. The final pile construction site is located at the Grand Bridge over the Baiyanhua Railway Dedicated Line in Urad Front Banner, with a designed pile length of 46.5 meters and a designed pile diameter of 1 meter.

Since the drilling of the first pile foundation for the entire Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway line (Inner Mongolia section) began at Lot 1 of China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau on May 17, the construction unit has successively overcome difficulties such as land acquisition and demolition and the relocation and modification of power, telecommunications, and broadcasting lines. While ensuring safety risk control for construction adjacent to operating railways and epidemic prevention and control, it has carefully organized work, coordinated systematically, and taken multiple measures to ensure the steady progress of construction and production, thereby ensuring the smooth completion of the pile foundation works in the Bayannur section.

To ensure the smooth construction of the project, the construction unit rapidly advanced land acquisition and demolition. By actively coordinating with governments at all levels along the line, actively conducting on-site surveys, and working together with property rights units and the construction units for power, telecommunications, and broadcasting line relocation to jointly advance relocation matters, it completed land acquisition and demolition on schedule, providing a guarantee for project construction, and effectively strengthened safety management.

The Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway is constructed adjacent to operating railway lines, involving high operational difficulty and high construction safety risks. During project implementation, the construction unit maintained close contact with railway bureau stations and depots, submitted operating line construction plans on time, and kept station liaison officers and on-site safety guards on duty 24 hours a day without interruption, providing strong technical support and safety guarantees for construction adjacent to operating lines, and strictly implementing epidemic prevention measures.

In the face of the epidemic prevention and control situation, the project management department conscientiously implemented the epidemic prevention and control work arrangements of higher authorities. In accordance with the work requirements of "preventing importation, preventing exportation, and preventing spread," while ensuring that "the epidemic must be prevented, safety must be maintained, quality must be controlled, and production must be stabilized," it coordinated on-site construction and successfully ensured on-site construction safety during the epidemic period.

It is understood that the Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway (including the Bayannur-Yinchuan branch line) is an important component of the Beijing-Lanzhou corridor of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network. It is a major transportation artery and economic corridor connecting Northwest China with Northeast and North China, and is also one of the 102 major projects in the national "14th Five-Year Plan."

After the project is completed, it will strongly support Inner Mongolia in serving and integrating into the new development pattern, strongly support smooth connectivity between eastern and western China and between the north and south, and be of great significance to advancing national strategies such as the large-scale development of the western region and the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
