Introduction

On October 28, XCMG held a meeting to convey and study the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress. Yang Dongsheng, delegate to the 20th CPC National Congress and Party Secretary and Chairman of XCMG and XCMG Machinery, led Party members and cadres in an in-depth study of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, mobilized the company to quickly set off an upsurge of studying, publicizing and implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, and strive to write a new chapter of "building a modern world-class enterprise."

"Being able to personally experience this grand gathering of milestone significance in the history of our Party's development, shouldering a major mission and witnessing a historic moment, I feel deeply inspired and immensely proud. I have learned a great deal and drawn much inspiration, and at the same time I feel a greater responsibility and a heavier burden, and my confidence is stronger than ever," Yang Dongsheng said as he shared his personal experience of attending the 20th CPC National Congress with the attendees.

When conveying the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, Yang Dongsheng pointed out that the report to the 20th CPC National Congress has a distinctive theme, profound thought, magnificent momentum and far-reaching implications. It connects the Party's historical mission with its strategic arrangements, its goals with its phased requirements, theoretical innovation with practical development, state governance with Party self-governance, and China's progress with world development. It is the political declaration and program of action for the Party to unite and lead the people of all ethnic groups in the country in winning new victories for socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

Yang Dongsheng pointed out that the most fundamental reason for the brilliant achievements of the Party and the country in the new era lies in the fact that General Secretary Xi Jinping, as the core of the Party Central Committee and the core of the whole Party, is at the helm, and in the scientific guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. On the new journey, we must more profoundly understand the decisive significance of the "Two Establishments," more consciously strengthen the "Four Consciousnesses," firm up the "Four Confidences," and resolutely achieve the "Two Upholds," unswervingly following General Secretary Xi Jinping from victory to greater victory.

Yang Dongsheng said that XCMG's ten years in the new era have also been ten years of striving forward closely following General Secretary Xi Jinping. In particular, since the 19th CPC National Congress, we have thoroughly implemented the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection of XCMG, unswervingly implemented the new development philosophy, promoted high-quality development, and achieved outstanding results in industrial development, technological innovation, deepening reform, and international expansion, which has driven the innovative development of Xuzhou's construction machinery cluster, which was selected as a national-level advanced manufacturing cluster.

Regarding the work arrangements for studying and implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, Yang Dongsheng proposed five firm grasps: First, firmly grasp the great significance of the work of the past five years and the great changes of the new era over the past decade, and enhance confidence under the guidance of the banner. Regarding XCMG's goals and tasks for comprehensive high-quality development in the next five years and beyond, Yang Dongsheng emphasized four aspects: First, accelerate the pace of high-quality development and focus on building a modern industrial system. Second, increase independent innovation and firmly grasp the discourse power in modern industrial competition. Third, accelerate the internationalization strategy and build a globally renowned world-class brand. Fourth, strengthen the driving force of digital transformation and lead the green and low-carbon development of modern industry.

Yang Dongsheng emphasized that we will unswervingly follow the direction pointed out by General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection, forge ahead without slacking, strive with vigor, advance courageously, and work in unity, strive to write a new chapter of comprehensively building a modern world-class enterprise and scaling the Everest of the world's high-end equipment manufacturing industry, strive to make our "core competence" in developing the real economy stronger and more solid, and translate the grand blueprint and various tasks set by the 20th CPC National Congress into reality with achievements in high-quality development, making new and greater contributions to realizing the Second Centenary Goal and the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!

As a frontline worker representative of industrial workers, Chen Gang, winner of the Jiangsu May 1st Labor Medal and a maintenance engineer for high-precision equipment at XCMG Earthmoving Machinery, believes that comprehensively deepening reform has brought tangible benefits to grassroots workers, and in the new era, industrial workers must have new responsibilities and new commitments. "I will base myself on my post, study maintenance technology intensively, give play to the strength of the team, expand new ideas and new methods, carry out technical research, and overcome technical difficulties. In Lianyungang, Jiangsu, the world's first crane "Qingfeng No. 5" XCA2600 all-terrain crane is busy supporting wind farm construction. At the 33rd German Bauma (Bauma 2022), nearly 50 new products in 6 major categories made a splendid appearance, showcasing to the world the craftsmanship and magnificence of China's equipment manufacturing.
