据介绍，8月中旬，宝钢、武钢等钢厂上调9月份出厂价，8月20日，鞍钢也随之上调。其后，沙钢、永钢、中天等提价幅度也在30元左右/吨。“钢厂提价，说明其订单开始好转，而钢厂库存与社会库存同步下降，也说明钢材需求较前期强劲，后期需求基本可以预期。”省价格鉴定监测管理局有关专家分析说，总体上判断，短期内国际钢材市场仍然保持强势。
与此同时，9月份水泥行业将迎来传统旺季。由于库存量下降，水泥价格在近期已呈现稳步上涨态势，水泥企业业绩有望得到改善。不过总体来看，原材料成本增加将影响水泥企业的盈利空间。特别是环保政策的落实，将在短期内加重水泥企业的成本负担。严重的产能过剩问题，仍将制约着行业的未来发展。
