In his speech, Song Zhike said that on December 12, 2017, General Secretary Xi Jinping personally visited XCMG and highly praised XCMG as a very important and very successful state-owned enterprise and modern enterprise that has forged its own path. Over the past five years, XCMG has kept in mind the spirit of the General Secretary's important speech and his earnest entrustment, forged ahead, worked hard with dedication, and innovated and strived, fully advancing the "three highs and one sustainability" transformational development. From 2018 to 2021, operating revenue grew year after year, and in 2022 XCMG remained among the world's top three construction machinery companies.

As a "new flagship" industrial segment under XCMG, XCMG Excavator, since its "second venture" in 2018, has deeply practiced the summit spirit proposed by Chairman Wang Min, unswervingly carried forward the "red genes" to inspire the drive for united endeavor, unswervingly corrected the "development philosophy" to gather the effectiveness of high-energy governance, unswervingly upheld the spirit of "daring to be first" to enhance independent innovation capability, and unswervingly expanded the "international perspective" to demonstrate the charm of Chinese manufacturing. The enterprise has achieved three major steps in three years and has become XCMG's largest, most contributive, and fastest-growing company.
