Respected Director Yuxin, distinguished leaders, and young friends:

Good morning, everyone!

Yesterday was May Fourth Youth Day, and today coincides with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China. It is a great honor to hold this unique event together with the Changsha County Tax Bureau on this special occasion. First, on behalf of Sunward Intelligent, I would like to extend a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to all of you for your presence, and to offer festive greetings and best wishes to all our young friends!

For a long time, Sunward Intelligent and the Changsha County Tax Bureau have worked together in partnership, jointly holding a special tutorial session on the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and co-hosting a variety of tax-enterprise partnership activities such as Party history learning and education sessions and book-sharing meetings. Among these, the solid theoretical grounding and high spirits of the young friends left a deep impression on me. The theme of today's event is "Youth Contributions to Strengthen the Provincial Capital, Tax-Enterprise Partnership for Development." As a business leader and as a "post-70s" senior to our young friends, I would like to take this opportunity to share some of my personal reflections.

First, firm up your ideals and convictions. "Ideal" is not an empty word; it is a powerful support for personal dedication to one's cause and for maintaining focus. From my own experience, ideals rooted in personal interests have been the spiritual pillar sustaining my dedication to machinery for more than 50 years. Young friends should not only set ideals and convictions but also take root in them and strive for them persistently, so that your thinking, vision, and capabilities keep pace with the advancing times. At the same time, you should integrate your personal ideals into the era and into the great cause of revitalizing China, contributing youthful strength to national rejuvenation and a strong nation.

Second, hone outstanding skills. No one can succeed effortlessly. To accomplish something in one's career, one must keep learning and improve one's professional competence. Youth is the golden period for honing skills and growing one's abilities. Everyone should attach particular importance to work experience at the grassroots frontline; our professional foundations and management skills were all accumulated bit by bit during this period. You should actively contribute your wisdom and talent to tackling key and difficult problems, forge your skills through continuous efforts to overcome difficulties, and take on major responsibilities and demonstrate your abilities in the vivid practice of high-quality development.

Third, maintain your passion for innovation. Behind any enduring enterprise there must be an innovative spirit. Sunward Intelligent has weathered nearly 23 years, and continuous innovation has been the key. The younger generation is a group full of vitality, passion, and creativity, and the greatest hope for future reform and innovation lies with you. I hope all our young friends will continue to contribute new ideas—perhaps just an improvement to a small screw cap or an upgrade to a tax declaration process. These accumulated, continuous innovations will surely help build a lasting foundation. As seniors, we are also very willing to offer help and guidance and to build innovation platforms, truly fostering a good atmosphere that encourages innovation and tolerates failure.

In September 2020, General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected Sunward Intelligent and fully affirmed the enterprise's entrepreneurial spirit of starting from nothing and growing from small to large, as well as its proactive innovative spirit. He stressed that innovation is the most important quality in business operations and that key core technologies must be firmly held in our own hands. We will be guided by the strategic positioning and mission of the "Three Highlands and Four New Missions," and we invite our young friends to actively participate in the ongoing practice of innovation and entrepreneurship. Youth comes only once in a lifetime, but a young person's high-spirited attitude can last a lifetime. I hope everyone will keep the nation's great cause in mind, focus on your professional fields, and scale new heights of innovation—demonstrating youthful responsibility in the vigorous implementation of the "Strong Provincial Capital" strategy, and striving to be pioneers and make achievements on the new journey of building a modern socialist country in all respects, greeting the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Party with solid deeds and real results.
