On January 4, four technological achievement projects developed by Sunward—"Key Technology Research and Application of the SWCH980-260M Fully Hydraulic Crawler Pile Frame," "Key Technology Research and Application of the SWDP120H Large-Diameter Drilling-With-Casing Rig," "Key Technology Research and Application of the ZYJ1260BK Pre-Boring Static Pile Press," and "Key Technology Research and Application of the SWDM600 Super-Large Rotary Drilling Rig"—successfully passed expert appraisal organized by the China Construction Machinery Association. Two achievements reached the internationally leading level in overall technology, and two reached the internationally advanced level.

In response to epidemic prevention and control requirements, this appraisal meeting was held in a combined "online + offline" format. The appraisal committee was chaired by Professor Xu Gening, former vice president of Taiyuan University of Science and Technology, with Qi Jun, honorary president of the China Construction Machinery Association, and Hu Yongbiao, dean of the School of Construction Machinery at Chang'an University, serving as deputy directors. It was composed of nine senior industry experts, including Li Jianyou, deputy general manager of China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., and Guo Chuanxin, deputy chief engineer of Beijing Research Institute of Construction Mechanization Co., Ltd. The appraisal meeting was presided over by Senior Engineer Wang Dayu of the China Construction Machinery Association. He Qinghua, chairman and chief expert of the company, Zhu Jianxin, deputy general manager, and relevant leaders and experts from the province, city, and district attended the meeting.

The expert panel conducted on-site inspections of the prototype machines for the four technological achievements. Zhu Zhenxin, general manager of Sunward's Foundation Equipment Business Division, explained the prototypes and introduced the full product series, including super rotary drilling rigs, double-wheel trench cutters, and hydraulic grabs.

At the appraisal meeting, He Qinghua, chairman and chief expert of the company, said in his speech that Sunward will unswervingly strengthen basic research and technological breakthroughs, accelerate the high-quality development of equipment manufacturing, continuously enhance the technological content of products through innovation, and promote the further development of China's construction machinery research and development.

Subsequently, the R&D personnel of the four technological achievements gave detailed reports in turn, focusing on the innovation points of the R&D results, the transformation and application of the technological achievements, and the social and economic benefits brought by the results. The experts of the appraisal committee listened carefully to the reports, carefully reviewed the appraisal materials, inspected the prototype machines, and rigorously questioned the content of the achievements. The appraisal committee fully affirmed the project results and offered valuable guidance for Sunward's continued technological innovation in the future.

After appraisal, the experts unanimously agreed that the technological achievement appraisal materials submitted by Sunward were complete, scientific, and standardized, and that the technological achievements were creative, advanced, and practical. They summarized and affirmed the fruitful results of Sunward's innovative R&D and believed that the R&D results have broad market application prospects. The appraisal committee unanimously agreed that the two technological achievements "Key Technology Research and Application of the SWCH980-260M Fully Hydraulic Crawler Pile Frame" and "Key Technology Research and Application of the SWDP120H Large-Diameter Drilling-With-Casing Rig" are highly original, technologically difficult, and possess completely independent intellectual property rights, with the overall technical performance indicators of the projects reaching the internationally leading level; and that the two technological achievements "Key Technology Research and Application of the ZYJ1260BK Pre-Boring Static Pile Press" and "Key Technology Research and Application of the SWDM600 Super-Large Rotary Drilling Rig" are highly innovative and possess completely independent intellectual property rights, with the overall technology of the projects reaching the internationally advanced level.
