From December 7 to 8, the 2021 "Xiaoxiang Cup" Industrial Design Competition Exhibition and Award Ceremony series of events were held in Changsha. Zoomlion achieved the best result in the industry group with 1 gold and 1 silver, demonstrating its outstanding industrial design innovation capability and manufacturing strength.

The "Xiaoxiang Cup" Industrial Design Competition is the highest-level industrial design award in Hunan Province, co-hosted by the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Education, and the Provincial Department of Finance. The competition reflects the level of domestic design development and the standards and trends of industrial development, and enjoys high credibility and prestige. With the theme of "Three Highlands and Four New Missions, Design Empowerment," this year's competition solicited design works from across the country. Since its official launch in June, the competition attracted the active participation of 185 enterprises and 181 universities nationwide, collecting a total of 3,215 works.

In this competition, the only gold award in the industry group went to Zoomlion's ZR360L rotary drilling rig, which holds 22 patented technologies and is a highly integrated mechanical, electrical and hydraulic product. The product is equipped with a self-developed third-generation intelligent control system, reducing fuel consumption by 10% compared with peers, saving 8,000 liters of fuel and reducing carbon emissions by more than 20,000 kilograms per year. It is known as "280's consumption, 360's performance." The product's paint scheme features striking "Aurora Green" paired with tech-inspired "Gravel Gray" and "Starlight Gray," embodying the concept of harmonious coexistence with ecology. With powerful performance and a highly visually appealing appearance, the product became a hot-selling model as soon as it was launched, contributing nearly 200 million yuan in annual gross profit.

Zoomlion's ZTC250N-EV pure electric truck crane, also known as "Z-Tesla," won the silver award in the industry group and is the world's first pure electric truck crane. As a competition entry, it adopts a streamlined space capsule shape and space silver paint, presenting a unique visual collision aesthetic. The ZTC250N-EV pure electric truck crane also integrates green and intelligent features: it can complete lifting operations via a mobile phone APP and features pure electric drive, low energy consumption and zero emissions. Its unique and novel industrial design concept enables "Z-Tesla" to display the ultimate "beauty of power and beauty of technology."

In addition, Zoomlion's multifunctional engineering vehicle, known as the "smart dancer" of the construction site, and its intelligent telescopic boom forklift also won excellence awards in the industry group, while the automatic material distribution robot won an excellence award in the concept group.

Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicly announced the fifth batch of national-level industrial design centers, and only five enterprises in the province were selected, with Zoomlion among them. A national-level industrial design center refers to an enterprise industrial design center or industrial design enterprise recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, with strong industrial design innovation capability, distinctive characteristics, standardized management, outstanding performance and a clear exemplary and driving role. Being selected for this list marks that Zoomlion's industrial design innovation capability is at the domestic leading level and that its exemplary and driving role for the industry has been recognized by the state.
