据11月1日发布的消息，甘孜州折多山隧道和跑马山隧道建设正加速推进，预计2023年通车。届时，由川入藏的行车时间将会大大缩短。在建设过程中，施工位置地理条件复杂，气候环境恶劣，施工方正在克服种种困难，尽早完成通车任务。
