10月26日，青岛地铁集团、北京铁研监理公司、青岛地铁盾构/TBM 咨询单位、中铁二院、中铁三局等相关人员及评审专家共同参加了青岛地铁2号线西延段1号TBM验收会。专家组和与会人员通过认真检查，认为青岛地铁2号线西延段1号TBM设备基本满足规范和合同规定，在落实专家意见后具备出场条件。
青岛地铁2号线西延段起自泰山路站，途经青岛国际邮轮港站、小港站，终点至轮渡站。目前轮渡站、小港站、国际邮轮港站均已进入主体结构施工，土建施工已完成42%，TBM始发井及右线始发洞已全部完成，具备TBM始发条件。
1号TBM作为战功卓著的掘进神器，曾在2号线海安路站至麦岛站区间、地铁1号线海泊桥站至青岛站区间施工作业累计掘进7.8公里，目前整装待发，即将在2号线西延线投入右线施工。另一台2号TBM计划明年3月份进场，用于区间左线施工。
