Good news again from the Jiangyin-Jingjiang Yangtze River Tunnel: following the rollout of the two 16-meter-class super-large-diameter TBMs "Jiangxin No.1" and "Juli No.1" on October 12, the first cutterhead of the "Jiangxin No.1" TBM was successfully transported from the Herrenknecht factory in Guangzhou to the Jiangyin-Jingjiang Yangtze River Tunnel construction site on October 25.

The arrival of the first cutterhead component marks the official transition of the TBM from the factory assembly and commissioning stage to the on-site assembly stage, providing the prerequisite for the subsequent cutterhead assembly and welding, laying the foundation for the on-site assembly of the TBM, and representing another major step toward the goal of TBM launch.

The Jiangyin-Jingjiang Tunnel Command will lead all participating units to further strengthen communication and collaboration, arrange each task reasonably and orderly, ensure that other components of the TBM arrive on site on time according to the milestone targets, and ensure a safe and smooth "zero-defect" launch of the TBM.
