On October 15, the first hot-slide test on the test track of Huanglilu Depot of Changsha Metro Line 6 was successfully conducted, and the depot entered the rolling stock commissioning stage as scheduled.

The catenary hot-slide test refers to a test in which, with the catenary energized, a train collects power directly from the catenary through its pantograph and slides along the track, so as to precisely check the pantograph-catenary relationship between the catenary and the pantograph and ensure that the equipment of the train and catenary systems meets the conditions for joint commissioning and testing.

At 10 a.m., the train's pantograph rose slowly, officially kicking off the hot-slide test on the test track of Huanglilu Depot of Changsha Metro Line 6. The test train ran under power on the test track three times at speeds of 5 km/h, 10 km/h and 30 km/h respectively. During the hot-slide process at each speed, the pantograph and catenary operated in good condition, all test data were normal and performance was good, and the electric train ran smoothly, meeting the design requirements and construction specification standards; the hot-slide test on the test track was thus successfully completed.

This hot-slide test was the first time an electric train of Changsha Metro Line 6 raised its pantograph and received power for operation. The success of the hot-slide test not only verified the reliability of the vehicle, power supply and track systems, but also tested the excellent professional competence of the construction unit's workforce. The successful completion of the hot-slide test on the test track marks that the depot of Line 6 can carry out rolling stock commissioning as scheduled, accumulates valuable experience for the hot-slide test and rolling stock commissioning on the main line, and makes full sprint preparations for trial operation and initial operation.
