9月17日上午，在西延高铁宜君隧道进口段，施工人员安装管棚导向管、场地平整、边坡防护等工作，标志着西延高铁宜君隧道全面进入洞内施工阶段。
宜君隧道位于铜川市印台区及宜君县境内，全长17.5千米，设计为单洞双线隧道，隧道最大埋深395米，下穿多处浅埋沟谷和3条断层破碎带，存在滑坡、坍塌、大变形等安全隐患，是I级高风险隧道。目前，宜君隧道进出口、4个斜井已全部进洞施工。
西延高铁是国家八纵八横高速铁路网包（银）海高速铁路通道的重要组成部分，与规划的西渝高铁共同形成南北大通道，是陕西省“米”字型高铁网主骨架的重要构成，是“十四五”时期的重点建设项目。
西延高铁线路全长约300公里，建设标准为双线客运专线，设计速度350公里／小时。
截至目前，西延高铁全线186个工点已开工94个，完成投资15.1亿元。
