(1) It should be parked indoors in a dry place. If it has to be parked outdoors, choose flat ground and lay down wooden boards. Cover it with a tarpaulin after parking.

(2) Before long-term storage, the machinery must be maintained, damaged parts repaired, and it must be thoroughly cleaned to keep it in good technical condition.

(3) The arrangement and layout of the parking area should ensure that the entry and exit of any machine is not affected by other machines.

(4) The fuel control lever of the machinery should be set to the idle position, and all control levers should be set to the neutral position.

(5) Engine storage. ① Drain the cooling water from the engine. ② Replace the engine oil. New engine oil is usually neutral and will not corrode the engine's metal parts. ③ Fill the fuel tank with diesel to prevent the tank from rusting. If conditions permit, add a preservative as well. ④ During the shutdown period, start the engine once a month and let the machinery travel a short distance so that a new oil film forms at the lubrication points of all parts to prevent rust. Note: Fill with cooling water before starting and drain all cooling water when finished.

(6) Battery storage. ① Remove the battery and place it in a dry, frost-proof place. Keep its surface clean and dry, and strictly prohibit placing conductive objects on the battery. When removing the battery, first disconnect the negative cable, then the positive cable; when installing, first connect the positive cable, then the negative cable. Because the electrical systems of construction machinery are all negative-ground, this is to prevent short circuits when removing or installing the battery. ② Lead-acid batteries should be charged once a month.

(7) Rust prevention treatment. ① Before storage, depending on the size of the area where the anti-rust paint on the outer surface has peeled off, determine whether to use touch-up painting or full repainting of the machine for repair. ② For the working devices of construction machinery, such as the screed of a paver, the bucket of a loader, the blade of a grader, etc., the rust prevention method for exposed metal areas is to apply grease.
