After 37 months of unremitting efforts, on September 8, the Dianqian Tunnel in the first contract section of the Zhenxiong–Hezhang Expressway of the Liupanshui–Yibin Expressway achieved double-tube breakthrough.

It is reported that the left tube of the Dianqian Tunnel is 3,708 meters long and the right tube is 3,718 meters long, making it one of the key control works of the Zhenhe T1 section of Guizhou Bridge Group. During construction, the Zhenhe T1 section dynamically adjusted its construction arrangements, organized construction scientifically, and tackled difficulties through multiple measures. By adopting construction methods such as wet spraying technology, polymer grouting for surrounding rock reinforcement, pipe-roof locking feet in weak surrounding rock, and small pipes on both side walls of the tunnel, it overcame numerous difficulties including high gas content, abundant water, weak surrounding rock, karst caves, and water and mud inrushes in the Dianqian Tunnel, and successfully completed the tunnel construction task objectives.

It is reported that the Zhenhe Expressway starts at Zhezhuang Town, Hezhang County, connecting with the Yunnan section of the Zhenhe Expressway, and ends at Ganhe Bridge, Yemachuan Town, Hezhang County, forming a cross-shaped intersection with the Biwei Expressway and the Heliu Expressway. The route is 28.17 kilometers long, with a bridge-tunnel ratio of 73.05%. After the highway is completed and opened to traffic, the drive from Zhenxiong to Hezhang will be shortened from about 2.5 hours to about 30 minutes, which will not only facilitate travel for people along the expressway, but also have a positive and far-reaching impact on the economic and social development of Hezhang County.
