In 2018, to adapt to engineering construction in loess terrain, Sunward tailored solutions to local conditions and pioneered the double-layer fast compaction hole-forming machine equipped with a double-layer fast compaction device. Today, the double-layer fast compaction hole-forming machine equipped with this innovative device, with its typical advantages of efficient hole formation and environmentally friendly quiet operation, is well received in the Shaanxi region, and nearly 100 units have been put into use.

The Loess Plateau includes most of Shanxi, central and northern Shaanxi, central and eastern Gansu, southern Ningxia, and eastern Qinghai. Across this vast plateau of countless gullies and scattered slopes, loose primary loess covers an area of more than 300,000 square kilometers. Apart from a few rocky mountains, the loess thickness ranges from 50 to 80 meters, and in some areas it can even exceed 200 meters at its thickest. Because loess is collapsible, this poses hidden risks to the safety of later construction. Therefore, eliminating the collapsibility of loess is imperative and has become a research focus for experts at major institutes.

△At construction sites such as the Xixian New Area Science and Innovation Greater Bay Area, dozens of Sunward double-layer fast compaction hole-forming machines are carrying out plain soil compaction pile construction on site (plain soil compaction piles: through the lateral squeezing action during hole formation, the soil in the pile hole is squeezed into the surrounding area, compacting the soil between piles; then the prepared plain soil (cohesive soil) is filled into the pile hole in layers and tamped layer by layer to the design elevation).

To further improve the efficiency of foundation compaction in loess strata, Sunward once again carried out innovative design on its hydraulic static pile driver, which holds an invention patent, and launched the industry's first double-layer fast compaction hole-forming machine. During compaction pile construction, this equipment can achieve continuous pressing and pulling operations, improving the efficiency of compaction pile construction. In addition, pile pulling does not require crane operators. Based on an annual construction volume of 150,000 meters of compaction piles per machine, this alone can save customers about 180,000 yuan in labor costs, while also reducing the probability of human error, truly achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement for customers.
