On August 14, 2021, the 16th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines and Mining Machines Exhibition & Seminar (BICES 2021), the world's highest-quality and most influential construction machinery industry event of the year, officially entered the 30-day countdown to its opening. With the successful convening of the review meeting for the "Construction Machinery Technological Innovation Achievements Exhibition Area" (hereinafter referred to as the "Achievements Exhibition Area"), the various preparatory work for BICES 2021, which has been meticulously organized for over a year, has now reached its final sprint stage.

Attendees at this Achievements Exhibition Area review meeting included Qi Jun, Honorary President and Special Advisor of the China Construction Machinery Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association); Wu Peiguo, Secretary-General and Chairman of Beijing Tianshi Huagong International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Exhibition Company); Wang Jinxing, Deputy Secretary-General; Lü Ying, Deputy Secretary-General and General Manager of the Exhibition Company; Yin Xiaoli, Deputy Secretary-General; Li Chunsheng, Director of the Member Services Department; Song Jinyun, Deputy Director of the Standards and Regulations Department; Xia Wei, Deputy General Manager of the Exhibition Company; and Jia Xiaowen, Secretary-General of the Components Branch and head of the design work for this Achievements Exhibition Area, along with all members of the working team. The establishment of the Achievements Exhibition Area aims to summarize the industry's technological innovation and development achievements and promote high-quality industry development. Since the material collection activity was launched on November 16, 2020, it has received strong support and active participation from a wide range of construction machinery enterprises, which have enthusiastically submitted relevant materials.

This review was based on the previously collected materials, which had been refined through multiple rounds of communication and improvement with the submitting organizations. Following several rounds of scheme discussions by the Association and the working group, and in accordance with the theme "Striving in the New Era, Forging New Glory" and related requirements, the discussion focused on the exhibition area layout, the key content settings of each section, the major technological innovation and development achievements made by China's construction machinery industry during the "12th Five-Year Plan" and "13th Five-Year Plan" periods, advanced products, typical events and key projects, the technologies, products, construction methods and service solutions first launched by exhibitors at previous BICES exhibitions, and the relevant enterprise technological innovation leaders. These will be presented in various forms such as text, images and data charts. It is believed that at the BICES 2021 exhibition site, industry professionals and all sectors of society visiting the exhibition will be able to fully understand the technological innovation and development achievements of the construction machinery industry during this period, fully appreciate the industry's progress in implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's call for "the transformation of Made in China to Created in China, of Chinese speed to Chinese quality, and of Chinese products to Chinese brands," and fully feel that the equipment manufacturing industry is an important cornerstone and force supporting China's march toward high-quality development.

In the coming 30 days, with the full implementation of the exhibition preparatory work plan, all members of the BICES Organizing Committee will collaborate with all partners, service providers and supporting organizations. In addition to basic work such as venue operations, exhibitor services, event arrangements and coordination among all parties, the focus will be placed on epidemic prevention measures and preparations for entry, including cooperating with exhibitors on exhibit transportation and booth setup. Resources from all sides will be further mobilized, efforts will be intensified to invite more direct user organizations and professional visitors, and events such as Customer Day will be well organized, so that users and visitors can fully understand and grasp the new image of exhibitors' development and the new achievements of high-quality industry development, and come with joy and leave with satisfaction—not only returning safely but also gaining much.
