On August 3, the Mingguang–Bengbu Section Reconstruction and Expansion Project of the Ningluo Expressway officially obtained the Construction Project Land Use Pre-approval and Site Selection Opinion Letter from the Provincial Department of Natural Resources, marking a phased achievement in the project's preliminary work.

The project starts at the Mingguang East Interchange, connecting to the Lai'an–Mingguang Section of the Ningluo Expressway, and ends at the Daliuying Hub, connecting to the Jie-Fu-Beng Expressway. It will be expanded from the existing four-lane dual carriageway to eight lanes, with a total route length of 80.9 kilometers and a total investment of approximately 8 billion yuan.

The project is an important component of the national expressway network and the main corridor from northern Anhui to the Yangtze River Delta region. Its construction is of great significance for improving traffic conditions along the route, promoting the integrated development of transportation and economy in the Yangtze River Delta region, and implementing regional development strategies.
