On the last day of July, the Wang Anshi Fuhe Grand Bridge on the Fuzhou East Outer Ring Expressway officially opened to traffic. The bridge is the first swallow-type steel-concrete composite girder tied-arch bridge in the history of expressway construction in Jiangxi Province, and is known as 'Jiangxi Expressway's No.1 Arch'. The reporter learned from Jiangxi Provincial Transportation Engineering Group Co., Ltd. that the Wang Anshi Fuhe Grand Bridge spans the Fuhe River and is a control project of the Fuzhou East Outer Ring Expressway connector. The bridge has nine spans in total, with a total length of 1,417 meters, six lanes in both directions, and a design speed of 80 km/h. The main span is a (60m+168m+60m) self-balancing swallow-type concrete-filled steel tubular tied-arch bridge, and the approach bridge adopts 40m simply supported first and then continuous prefabricated prestressed T-beams.

'The bridge has finally opened to traffic. All the hardship and fatigue are worth it. We are truly proud to have participated in the construction of this bridge, and we have gained a lot,' said a frontline builder of the project. At the opening ceremony, every participant's face was filled with gratified smiles.

It is reported that the completion of the Wang Anshi Fuhe Grand Bridge further improves the transportation network of Fuzhou City, forms a fast corridor between the central urban area of Fuzhou and Fuzhou East Station (Dongxiang) on the Hangzhou-Nanchang-Changsha Passenger Dedicated Line of the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway, brings great convenience to the people of Fuzhou City, and plays an important role in strengthening the integrated development of Nanchang and Fuzhou and driving economic and social development along the route.
