On July 31, with the lifting and positioning of the last track panel, the main line of Hefei Metro Line 4 (from Jimingshan Road Station to Dongfang Avenue Station) successfully achieved short-track connection.

The main line of Line 4 has a total length of 41.37 kilometers, entirely underground, with 31 stations, including 10 transfer stations. A Kexuecheng depot is located at the western end of the line, and a Longzihu parking lot at the northern end. The minimum curve radius of the main line is 340 meters, and the maximum longitudinal slope is 28‰. The line uses Type B trains with a design speed of 80 km/h.

Since the track-laying project of Line 4 started on September 6, 2019, the Municipal Rail Transit Group has led the participating units with a high sense of responsibility and mission, coordinating overall planning and implementing precise measures. In accordance with the overall requirements of "fully ensuring safety and quality and fully advancing project construction," construction safety and quality have been strictly controlled, and the short-track connection of the Line 4 main line has been successfully achieved. This has laid a solid foundation for the smooth progress of subsequent works such as equipment installation and vehicle commissioning.

As of now

All 31 stations on Line 4 have been topped out; all 62 shield tunneling sections have been completed; short-track laying on the main line has been fully completed; mechanical and electrical installation and station decoration have reached 83% of the total, with cumulative output value of 11.54 billion yuan.

The Municipal Rail Transit Group will focus on the arrangement of "striving in the third quarter to fully achieve the annual targets and tasks," orderly advance the remaining construction of Line 4, and strive to realize the initial operation of Line 4 as soon as possible.
