On July 27, the Jianli Municipal Transport Bureau organized a completion acceptance meeting for the Maoshi Bridge and its approach roads, a controlling project of Provincial Highway S215. Representatives and experts from relevant units, including the Jingzhou Municipal Transport Bureau, the Jingzhou Highway Development Center, the Jingzhou Highway Society, the Traffic Police Brigade of the Jianli Public Security Bureau, the Fenyian Town Government, and the Maoshi Town Government, were invited to attend. A completion acceptance committee was established at the meeting.

The attending experts and representatives conducted on-site inspections of the project works, listened to reports from the construction, design, construction, supervision, and tracking audit units, and reviewed the completion acceptance documents and relevant materials. The Jingzhou Municipal Transport Bureau read out the "Completion Quality Inspection Opinion." Based on the on-site inspection and in accordance with the relevant standards and specifications for highway project completion acceptance, the acceptance expert group concluded that the project meets the design requirements, the project quality was assessed as qualified, the conditions for completion acceptance were met, and approval was granted for completion acceptance.

The S215 Provincial Highway Fenyian to Maoshi Section and Maoshi Bridge Project completed bidding in February 2018, with a winning contract price of 135.88 million yuan, of which the Maoshi Bridge and approach roads project contract price was 64.02 million yuan. The Maoshi Bridge and approach roads project is the controlling project of the Fenyian to Maoshi section of Provincial Highway S215. The bridge and approach roads have a total length of 1,665 meters, including the 971-meter Maoshi Bridge and 694 meters of approach roads. The main span of the bridge is 125 meters, and the full width of the bridge deck is 12 meters. The construction contract period was 750 calendar days. The Maoshi Bridge and approach roads project officially started on July 5, 2018, and was completed on July 25, 2021.

The completion of the Maoshi Bridge is of great significance for improving the transport skeleton network structure of Jianli City and promoting the economic development of the Jianghan Plain. At the same time, it brings great convenience to residents of the two towns of Fenyian and Maoshi on both sides of the Sihu River. Travel from Fenyian to Maoshi has been shortened from a previous one-hour detour to just 20 minutes. Next, the construction unit will accelerate the pace of the road surface works from Fenyian to Maoshi and strive to achieve full opening by the end of 2021.
