Like many who work in engineering construction, Mr. Li Guocheng from Zhuozhou, Hebei, described how he too gradually entered the field. From then on, he began driving his own truck to work on construction sites alongside others.     Speaking of his first success in business, Li Guocheng also specifically mentioned a senior peer who had helped him. At the time, Li Guocheng had not long been in the industry and often encountered problems he did not understand or that were thorny, so he humbly sought advice from this senior peer. Over time, through their back-and-forth, the senior man came to see that this young man was solid and hardworking, so he warmly helped Li Guocheng connect with an earthwork transport project near Chongwenmen in Beijing. After taking on the project, Li Guocheng set about organizing engineering vehicles himself and completed the transport task in just a few days. He also earned tens of thousands of yuan, and this was the first pot of gold he earned in the industry.

Harmony in the Family Brings Success in Everything

    With the success of his first contracted project, Li Guocheng became even more determined to grow strong and large in this industry. More than a decade ago in China, both cities and villages were vigorously developing infrastructure, so Li Guocheng's engineering team did not lack projects. The more projects he took on, the more investment was needed. Li Guocheng said that at the time, because of equipment purchases, he and his family often disagreed. Faced with this, he patiently communicated with his family—if once did not work, then twice—and finally resolved their concerns.

    Truly, harmony in the family brings success in everything! With his family's full support, Li Guocheng's business grew continuously over just a few years. Today, Li Guocheng's original transport team has developed into Guocheng Hongye Earthwork Engineering Co., Ltd. The original Shacman heavy truck is long gone; today Guocheng Hongye has more than 30 heavy transport trucks and more than a dozen Shandong Lingong loaders, a scale incomparable to those early years.

    Through Li Guocheng's introduction, we gained a general understanding that Guocheng Hongye's main business covers engineering construction, material transport, and building demolition, and that the company maintains stable cooperation with Beijing Residential Construction Group, BBMG Group, Jidong Group, and others. In the company's yard, we saw a neat row of red heavy trucks and several loaders parked in the distance, while in the operating area to the north of the yard, loaders and heavy trucks were working in an orderly manner.

    Speaking of today's business success, Li Guocheng said it is inseparable from his family's support. Indeed, having been busy expanding the company's business for many years, his working hours are basically irregular; he often even works overtime on Saturdays and Sundays and rarely spends time with his family, for which Li Guocheng feels very guilty. However, thanks to his far-sighted vision and correct decisions back then, as well as the hardships and sweat he put in over the years, today Li Guocheng has achieved business success: the company's operations run steadily and the family's financial situation is good. Now, whenever he has spare time, Li Guocheng takes his family traveling and fully enjoys the pleasures of life.

    Having struggled in the engineering construction field for more than ten years, Li Guocheng, now approaching forty, has a deeper understanding of life.
