On July 26, the Beijing Rail Transit Line 28 (formerly the CBD Line) project starts at Dongdaqiao Station and ends at Guangqu East Road Station, running along Chaoyangmenwai Street, Zhenzhi Road, Beijing East Railway Station, Maoxing West Street, and Guangqu Road. The line is 8.1 km long, entirely underground, with 9 stations across the line, including 5 interchange stations, and one vehicle depot located within the storage land on Guangqu East Road. The vehicles adopt the relevant parameters and dimensions of the Beijing Airport Line vehicles, operate fully automatically, use six-car articulated linear motor trainsets, and have a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

Among the stations, Dongdaqiao Station interchanges with Line 6, Line 17 (under construction), and Line 22 (under construction); Jintai Xizhao (Jingguangqiao) Station interchanges with Line 10 and Line 22 (under construction); Guanghua Road Station will be able to interchange with the R4 Line (planned) in the future; Dawanglu Station interchanges with Line 1, Line 14, and the R1 Line (planned); Dajiaoting Station interchanges with Line 7. It is worth noting that the approximately 2.2 km section of Rail Transit Line 22 (Pinggu Line) from Dongdaqiao Station to Jingguangqiao Station will be incorporated into the project and implemented simultaneously.
