It is reported that the newly built bridge of the Shunjiang Bridge Widening Project has a total length of 857.7 meters. Upon completion, it will add three motor vehicle lanes and additional non-motorized lanes for river crossings, greatly alleviating traffic pressure on the existing bridge while effectively improving the safety of pedestrians and vehicles and the aesthetic appeal of the bridge.

Shunjiang Bridge Widening Project

The project starts from Wuxing Middle Road in the west, crosses Jiangxi Road, Cao'e River, and Jiangdong Road along the route, and then intersects at grade with Fengshan Road. The project scope includes the Shunjiang Bridge widening section and the Shunjiang East Road reconstruction section east of the Fengshan Road intersection. The total route length is 1266.686 meters, with a cost of nearly 183 million yuan, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.

Shunjiang West Road and Shunjiang East Road are planned as east-west urban trunk roads. The widening section is designed with one-way three lanes plus non-motorized lanes and sidewalks.
