Shanxi Province has announced its key engineering projects and major newly launched infrastructure projects for 2021. Among them, the 2021 Shanxi Provincial Key Engineering Projects (First Batch) include 512 projects such as the Shanxi Provincial Core Big Data Center Project, and the 2021 newly launched major infrastructure projects include 35 projects such as the Shanxi Section of the Xiong'an-Xinzhou High-Speed Railway Project.
Among the 512 projects in the 2021 Provincial Key Engineering Projects (First Batch) in Shanxi, there are 33 projects in the new infrastructure field, 44 projects in the new technology field, 71 projects in the new materials field, 60 projects in the new equipment field, 60 projects in the new products field, 73 projects in the new business forms field, 73 projects in the new urbanization field, 76 projects in the major traditional infrastructure field, and 22 projects in other industrial fields. Among them are 9 pilot test bases, such as the Datong Ultra-High-Speed Low-Vacuum Maglev High-Speed Train Test Project, the North University of China Shanxi Military-Civilian Technology Innovation Ecological Base, the North Beidou Intelligent Guidance Precision Manufacturing Workshop and Spatial Information Data Service Center New Construction Project, and the Shanxi Province Silicon Carbide Materials Pilot Test Base. Among the 25 complete equipment projects are the Taiyuan Heavy Industry Intelligent High-End Equipment Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Factory Building Supporting Project, the China Electronics Technology (Shanxi) New Display Equipment Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Base Project, and the Shanxi Great Wall Intelligent Manufacturing (Shanxi) Base Project. Social livelihood projects include the new campus (main campus) construction project of Shanxi Art Vocational College, the new campus construction project of Taiyuan Health School, and the construction project of Yangquan Central Hospital.
The 2021 newly launched major infrastructure projects include 17 transportation projects, 5 municipal projects, 3 water conservancy projects, 6 social livelihood projects, 1 logistics infrastructure project, and 3 new infrastructure projects. Among the transportation projects are the new Shanxi Shuozhou Civil Airport Project, the Fenyang-Shilou Expressway, the Taiyuan Yingze Street East Extension Construction Project, and the Phase II South Extension Project of Taiyuan Binhe East Road. In 2021, Shanxi Province is expected to invest 17 billion yuan in trunk highway construction, complete 150 kilometers of new reconstruction and expansion, and achieve an average project quality qualification rate of no less than 95%. The pavement performance index (PQI) of national and provincial roads will remain above 82.5, the rate of good and excellent roads will remain above 83%, and the overloading rate will be controlled within 2‰; all tasks of deepening reform will be fully completed, and the new operating mechanism will initially be put on track; and the work safety situation will be consolidated and developed.
