7月13日，襄阳东西轴线樊城段跨越焦柳铁路线的斜拉桥成功实现转体。该桥是襄阳主城区首座转体桥，桥梁为全钢结构，全长159米，宽27.5米，梁重4000吨，横跨焦柳铁路，采用“非对称全钢结构独塔单索面斜拉桥+盖梁中央转体施工”的工艺。
整个桥梁转体利用铁路线的运营空窗点进行，转体持续时长约100分钟，顺时针旋转93.5°完成。目前，樊城段项目整体形象进度已完成85%，正在全力冲刺年底通车目标。
