On the 14th, the Yuanjiang Grand Bridge of the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha Railway is under construction for the girder and main tower. The main tower has reached 25 meters in height, and cable-stayed cable installation is about to begin.

The Changde-Yiyang-Changsha high-speed railway is a trunk railway project in China's medium- and long-term railway network plan and an important component of the Chongqing-Changsha-Xiamen corridor, one of the main passages in the "eight horizontal and eight vertical" high-speed railway network. The Changde-Yiyang section is also an important component of the Hohhot-Nanning corridor.

Together with the Chongqing-Guizhou, Guizhou-Zhangjiajie-Changde, Changsha-Ganzhou, Ganzhou-Longyan, and Longyan-Xiamen railways, the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha high-speed railway will form the most convenient major passenger transport corridor between the Sichuan-Chongqing region and the Hunan-Jiangxi-Fujian region, connecting the West Coast of the Taiwan Strait, Central South, and Southwest regions, and linking urban agglomerations such as the West Coast of the Taiwan Strait, Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan, and Chengdu-Chongqing. The line starts in the west at Changde Railway Station in Changde City, passes through Hanshou, Taojiang, Yiyang, and Ningxiang, and connects to Changsha West Station on the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity railway. The total length is 156.82 kilometers, with five stations along the route: Changde, Hanshou South, Yiyang South, Ningxiang West, and Changsha West. The Changde-Yiyang-Changsha high-speed railway is classified as a dedicated passenger line, double-track, with a target speed of 350 km/h. The main line uses ballastless track, while connecting lines use ballasted track. The total construction period is four years. According to the "Tender Announcement for Construction Unit Price Contracting of the 'Four Electric Systems' Integration and Related Works of the Newly Built Changde-Yiyang-Changsha Railway" published on the official website of the Guangzhou Public Resources Trading Center on December 18, 2020, the Yiyang South Station to Changsha West Station section of the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha high-speed railway will be completed on June 30, 2022 (including joint commissioning, testing, and trial operation), and the Changde Station to Yiyang South Station section will be completed on December 31, 2022 (including joint commissioning, testing, and trial operation).
