On July 13, the author learned from China Railway 20th Bureau Group that the construction of the Apengjiang Bridge on the Pengyou Expressway is progressing in an orderly manner. To date, 7 pile foundations have been completed, along with works including the clearing of Pier No. 1, clearing of dangerous rock, retaining wall cushion, passive protective netting, and a 1-kilometer riverside access road.

According to the introduction, the Apengjiang Bridge on the Pengyou Expressway is the passage connecting the exit of Gongtan Tunnel across the river to the entrance of Liangzeng Tunnel, and is one of the controlling projects of the entire line. The bridge has a total length of 510 meters and is designed with 7 pier columns, with the highest pier at 65 meters; 4 pile caps and 60 pile foundations; 450 cliff anchor cables are designed, with the anchor cable construction support height at 180-200 meters (tentative), and a design speed of 80 km/h.

Due to the influence of geographical structures such as steep cliff unloading zones, dangerous rock, and karst and collapse accumulation body structural dissolution low-medium mountain canyon landforms, the project construction is highly difficult. The leadership team of China Railway 20th Bureau Group attaches great importance to it and acted quickly, finding ways to solve various existing difficulties, and going all out to advance the construction progress of the Apengjiang Bridge while ensuring project quality and safety.
