To avoid redundant construction while accommodating current traffic needs, Liudazhuang Bridge is being rebuilt according to the road reconstruction plan: the old bridge has been demolished and a new dual-carriageway separated bridge is being constructed. The bridge adopts 7×20m prestressed reinforced concrete simply supported composite box girders, with pile-cap abutments, column piers, and bored pile foundations. The bridge has a total length of 147 meters and a full width of 32 meters. Currently, the south half of the bridge is open to traffic, and the substructure construction of the north half has been basically completed.

"There are four bridges within the Yongcheng section of G311 Line—Liudazhuang Bridge, Zheshuji Bridge, Zhangnanhe Bridge, and Ligou Bridge. Testing by professional institutions has classified all of them as Class IV or Class V bridges. Built many years ago with low design load standards, they have suffered increasingly numerous and severe damages as traffic volume has grown, endangering operational safety," said Cao Qinghui, Chief of the Maintenance Section of the Municipal Highway Development Center. To ensure highway service quality and standards, the city decided to demolish and rebuild the four dangerous bridges. All bridge reconstructions follow road reconstruction standards: Zheshuji Bridge, Zhangnanhe Bridge, and Ligou Bridge are each built to half the width of the reconstructed road, while Liudazhuang Bridge is rebuilt according to the road reconstruction plan.

It is understood that for Zheshuji Bridge, the old bridge was demolished and a new 4×13m prestressed concrete simply supported hollow slab bridge was built on the original site, with a total length of 58 meters and a full width of 16 meters. The bridge has been completed and opened to traffic recently.

For Zhangnanhe Bridge, the old bridge was demolished and a new 2×13m prestressed reinforced concrete simply supported hollow slab bridge was built on the original site, with a total length of 32 meters and a full width of 16 meters. The bridge is now open to traffic.

For Ligou Bridge, the old bridge was demolished and a new 2×13m prestressed reinforced concrete simply supported hollow slab bridge was built on the original site, with a total length of 32 meters and a full width of 16 meters. The bridge is now open to traffic.

"At present, two of the four bridges are open to traffic, one is completed, and one is under construction. We will accelerate the project progress and, on the premise of ensuring quality and quantity, strive to complete and open them to traffic as early as possible, providing the public with a more convenient and safer travel environment," said Cao Qinghui.
