Shenzhen Metro Line 12 recently unveiled its "big move"—it is about to tunnel beneath the Shekou sea area. Not long ago, the pre-construction acceptance for the right line of the Zuo-Tai section ("Zuopaotai Station ~ Taiziwan Station") of Metro Line 12 crossing beneath the sea area was successfully passed. This marks that the first shield tunneling beneath the sea area in Shenzhen's urban rail transit has entered the implementation stage. Major projects like this that go into the sea are never simple during construction.
