On July 8, the right-line tunnel of the Longshuang section (i.e., "Longping Station to Shuanglong Station") of Metro Line 16 was successfully completed.

The Longshuang section runs along Longping East Road in an east-west direction. The left line of the section is about 852.9 m long, and the right line is about 858 m long.

After nearly 10 months of tunneling construction, the project department overcame multiple difficulties, including numerous underground pipelines and uneven geology with sand in the upper layer and rock in the lower layer. It achieved launching under conditions of a thick sand layer, shallow burial depth, steel sleeve, and large slope with small-radius secant alignment, and successfully passed through a strongly developed karst area.
