News from the China Highway and Transportation Society on July 13: the Jiayu Yangtze River Highway Bridge, invested in and constructed by Hubei Communications Investment Group, has won the Global Road Achievement Award from the International Road Federation in the Design category.

The Jiayu Yangtze River Highway Bridge, with an investment of 3.144 billion yuan, is located in the Yanwo reach of the Yangtze River between Jiayu and Honghu in the middle reaches of the river, with a total length of 4,660 meters. To adapt to the natural and environmental conditions of the bridge site and the requirements for use, the Jiayu Bridge was designed as a two-tower, double-cable-plane cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 920 meters, making it the world's longest-span asymmetric composite girder cable-stayed bridge. The design resolved various technical challenges encountered in the construction of a kilometer-class asymmetric composite girder cable-stayed bridge and produced a series of innovative results.

The International Road Federation Global Road Achievement Awards, established in 2000, are among the most prestigious honors in the international road industry, recognizing innovative projects and exemplary individuals each year for their contributions to advancing the road industry to the forefront of global economic and social development.
