On the afternoon of July 10, 2021, with the completion of the final roof slab concrete pouring, the main structure of People's Hospital Station in Section 1301 of Dongguan Metro Line 1 was successfully capped, marking another new milestone for Dongguan Metro Line 1 and creating conditions for the next phase of electromechanical installation, track-laying construction, and decoration and finishing works.

People's Hospital Station on Dongguan Metro Line 1 has a total length of 280 meters. Its main structure is an underground two-story, double-span reinforced concrete box-frame structure, constructed using the open-cut sequential method, with shield-driven tunnel sections at both ends. The station is located on a major urban arterial road in Dongguan's Shuixiang area, where surface traffic is heavy and land acquisition and demolition coordination is highly challenging. The area has abundant groundwater, complex geological conditions, and numerous underground pipelines of various types, resulting in high construction difficulty and high safety risks.

To smoothly advance the construction of the station's main structure, the project department of the Dongguan Metro Line 1 project under China Railway Guangzhou Engineering Group Co., Ltd., the participating construction unit, repeatedly optimized the construction plan, reasonably increased mechanical equipment, and scientifically improved construction procedures. During construction, technical parameters were strictly controlled to ensure that all indicators met technical specification requirements, guaranteeing construction quality and safety and laying a solid foundation for the capping of the station's main structure.
