The WeChat official account of the National Development and Reform Commission disclosed on the 1st that, in order to implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and advance the implementation of the national major strategy for integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, the NDRC recently allocated 1.2 billion yuan from the 2021 central budget for the special fund for integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, supporting 24 construction projects in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui covering infrastructure connectivity, joint ecological and environmental protection and treatment, convenient sharing of public services, integrated development of scientific innovation industries, and projects in provincial border areas and inter-provincial cooperation parks.

The NDRC stated that this investment plan focuses on supporting major projects that promote the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. The implementation of these projects plays a positive role in fostering a new pattern of coordinated regional development and promoting higher-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.

Next, the NDRC will strengthen supervision and inspection of the implementation of the special investment plan for integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, promptly follow up on the implementation progress, urge and coordinate the resolution of relevant issues, ensure that projects are completed and put into use on schedule, and push for continuous achievements in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
