Full view of the Tangjiahe Grand Bridge

To mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the completion and opening ceremony of the Tangjiahe Bridge, located on the Baogu Link Road of the Zhanghua Expressway in Xiangxi Prefecture, was held on June 27. Guo Zhenggui, Secretary of the Prefecture Party Committee; Long Xiaohua, Deputy Secretary of the Prefecture Party Committee and Governor; Gao Xiangwen, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Prefecture People's Congress; Song Qinghong, Vice Chairman of the Prefecture CPPCC; Xiang Bangwei, Secretary-General of the Prefecture Party Committee and Director of the Office; Bao Taiyang, Secretary-General of the Prefecture Government and Director of the Office; Zhou Yanfei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Prefecture Public Security Bureau and nominee for Director of the Prefecture Public Security Bureau; Yang Zhihui, Secretary of the Baojing County Party Committee; Zhou Jianwu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the County People's Government and candidate for County Mayor; Long Wenbin, Member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and Director of the County Party Committee Office; He Xulin, Deputy County Mayor and Director of the County Public Security Bureau; and Xiang Zhixue, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the County People's Congress and Second-Level Researcher, attended the event.

In her speech, Long Xiaohua pointed out that since the start of construction, in the face of special difficulties and challenges such as high mountains and deep valleys, harsh and complex geological conditions on both sides of the river, and numerous karst caves, the builders overcame difficulties and fought on continuously to complete the bridge and open it to traffic. This was extremely difficult and worthy of pride. She expressed the hope that the prefecture and county transport departments would earnestly perform their duties, be courageous in taking responsibility, strengthen management and maintenance, effectively protect road property and rights, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the road. She also called on townships along the route and public security traffic police departments to strengthen road safety management, carry out publicity and education, enhance the public's awareness of civilized and safe driving, minimize road traffic accidents, and ensure safe driving and safe travel.

The Tangjiahe Grand Bridge is the main controlling project of the Guzhang Link Road of the Zhanghua Expressway. The bridge is 294 meters long and 10 meters wide, and is the only grand bridge on the Guzhang Link Road. Its opening to traffic marks the full completion and opening of the Guzhang Link Road of the Zhanghua Expressway. It not only shortens the drive from Baojing to Guzhang county seat by nearly 40 kilometers and thoroughly solves the travel difficulties of people along the route, but will also greatly invigorate commercial circulation between Baojing and Guzhang counties, help townships along the route consolidate the results of poverty alleviation, and accelerate the process of rural revitalization. At the same time, it greatly improves road transport conditions in the central and northern parts of Xiangxi Prefecture and better gives play to the radiating and driving role of the Zhanghua Expressway.
