On the afternoon of May 28, the exit line of the Neihu Depot on Shenzhen Metro Line 13 was successfully holed through, marking a phased victory in the construction of the most difficult shield tunneling section on the entire line. This is also the 10th single-track tunnel to be holed through on the entire line.

The entry and exit lines of the Neihu Depot are located in the Nanshan area of Shenzhen, close to the coastline. Although the section is only about 420 m long in total, due to numerous construction difficulties, it is the most difficult shield tunneling section in the construction of Metro Line 13 and is also a well-known "hard nut to crack" in the fourth phase of the Shenzhen Metro project.

The successful holing-through of the Neihu Depot exit line has accumulated valuable experience for Shenzhen Metro in tunneling through shallow-buried dumped-fill stone strata, anchor cable sections, and ultra-small-radius curve construction.
