Xingjie Interchange

On May 30, with the smooth paving of the last truckload of asphalt, the TJ-4 section of the Wenma Expressway became the first on the entire line (excluding the earlier-opened section) to complete asphalt pavement construction. After more than three years of hard work by all builders, the project's main works have been fully completed.

Tangfang Bridge

The Wenma Expressway is the Wenshan–Malipo section of the Tianbao Port–Houqiao Port Expressway in the national expressway network. The project starts at Jiamashi in Matang Town, Wenshan City, on the Mengwenyan Expressway, and ends in the northern part of Malipo County. The main line is 74.591 km long, with an estimated investment of 11.52 billion yuan. The TJ-4 section, constructed by CCCC (Kunming) Construction Company, has a main line length of 14.351 km, including 15 bridges, 5 tunnels and 1 hub interchange, with a bridge-tunnel ratio of 53.8% on the main line. The Wenma Expressway is one of the important routes from Kunming via Wenshan into Vietnam, an economic trunk line for economic development in southeastern Yunnan, and one of the key expressway construction projects during the 13th Five-Year Plan period in the "13th Five-Year Plan for Transport Development of Yunnan Province".

Chahe Bridge

Since the start of construction, the project schedule was once seriously delayed due to multiple factors such as the complex construction environment, funding shortages and the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure the Wenma Expressway is completed and opened to traffic on schedule, since resuming work in 2020 the project department has stayed focused on its goals, optimized the schedule, scientifically coordinated the input of manpower, machinery and materials, quickly opened more than 30 work faces, and operated all machinery and equipment at full capacity. It actively advanced scientific research and innovation such as the treatment of tunnel secondary lining seepage, achieving new results and saving more than 90 days of construction time. It adhered to project information management, using monitoring equipment to supervise key work points, processes and special equipment such as tunnels, mixing stations, beam and slab erection and tower crane construction throughout the process, implementing penetrating management of project quality and safety production, and building a quality project. It adhered to "fighting the pandemic while promoting production", successfully removing supply chain bottlenecks by employing local labor, purchasing off-peak and sourcing materials locally, effectively helping Wenshan's poverty alleviation while achieving "double victories" in both epidemic prevention and work resumption. In 2020, the project's monthly output value exceeded 100 million yuan for nine consecutive months, repeatedly setting new highs for monthly output value among the company's projects under construction. Its construction progress and safety production jumped to the forefront of the entire line, and the project successfully achieved a "curve overtaking", becoming the first to complete main works construction.
