Recently, the "Kaituo" shield machine, contracted by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully launched for the Xingxing section (Xingxue Road Station–Xingzhi Road Station) of Nanjing Metro Line 6, marking the project's entry into the tunnel section construction phase.

The Civil Works Section 2 of TA02 Bid for Nanjing Metro Line 6, contracted by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., mainly includes one open-cut station, one shield-driven tunnel section, and one cross passage. TA02 Bid is located in Qixia District, Nanjing, starting from Wanshoucun Station and ending at Qixiashan Station. The line runs along urban roads with a total length of approximately 14 kilometers and is divided into 5 bid sections.

The tunnel being excavated this time is the left line of the Xingxing section, with an inner diameter of 5.5 meters and a total length of approximately 1,188 meters. The shield machine will mainly pass through silty clay and moderately weathered argillaceous sandstone, with a maximum rock strength of 55.87 MPa, imposing high requirements on construction technology and shield tunneling.

Nanjing Metro Line 6 is a north-south express line, starting from the eastern end of the existing Nanjing South Railway Station section on Metro Line S1 in the south and ending at Qixiashan Station in the north. It passes through five administrative districts: Southern New Town, Zijinshan, Heimeying, Yanziji, and Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone. Once completed, it will help improve Nanjing's overall transportation structure and facilitate urban renewal, development, and growth, delivering significant social, economic, and environmental benefits.
