On May 28, the first drafting meeting for the national standard 'Building Construction Machinery and Equipment - Advanced Geological Drilling Rig,' led by CRCHI, was successfully held in Changsha, Hunan. The meeting was hosted by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Building Construction Machinery and Equipment and organized by CRCHI. More than 30 leaders and experts from fields such as survey and design, equipment manufacturing, inspection and testing, engineering construction, and research institutions attended the meeting and conducted in-depth discussions on the draft standard.

Liu Feixiang, Party Secretary and Chairman of CRCHI, warmly welcomed the attending leaders and experts on behalf of the company and gave an overall introduction to the preliminary standard drafting work. He stated that standards are the summary of science, technology, and practical experience, the common rules and basis to be followed, and the foundation for the healthy development of the industry. CRCHI has actively carried out independent research and development of intelligent tunnel construction methods and intelligent equipment, building a full-process, mechanized, and intelligent drill-and-blast intelligent equipment system. Following full-face tunnel boring machines, CRCHI has taken the lead in the industry in achieving localization and large-scale engineering application of intelligent tunnel equipment, effectively advancing the process of mechanized and intelligent tunnel construction in China.

Guo Chuanxin, Secretary-General of the Piling Machinery Branch of the China Construction Machinery Society, pointed out that in the application of tunnel construction equipment, drill-and-blast construction equipment and boring machines are advancing side by side; however, the current standard system for drill-and-blast construction equipment still cannot keep up with equipment R&D and industry development needs. While strengthening product innovation, enterprises should also strengthen the construction of standards-related soft power and actively participate in international standardization work in order to seize the initiative in increasingly fierce competition. As a leading enterprise in China's underground engineering equipment industry, CRCHI has made outstanding contributions to standard construction and development, and he expressed gratitude for CRCHI's long-term strong support.

   Liu Shuang, Secretary-General of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Building Construction Machinery and Equipment, gave an excellent and detailed explanation of the development history of standards, the project initiation process for national and industry standards, the revision process, management procedures, international standardization organizations, and counterpart units. He stated that the standard drafting group should earnestly follow the procedures and requirements for national standard formulation, pool collective wisdom, and complete the standard drafting work with high standards and high quality from the perspective of the whole country and the entire industry.

      At the meeting, the lead drafting unit CRCHI gave a detailed report on the draft standard. The attending leaders and experts leveraged their respective fields of expertise and conducted in-depth discussions, putting forward revision opinions and suggestions regarding the scientificity, coordination, advanced nature, normativity, and applicability of the standard, which provided good guidance for improving the standard text and received high recognition from the leaders of the standardization committee.

      The national standard 'Building Construction Machinery and Equipment - Advanced Geological Drilling Rig,' from the project application in 2018 to the plan issuance in 2020 and now the convening of the standard drafting meeting, has gone through more than two years of preparation and embodies the wisdom of many industry colleagues. With the formulation and implementation of the standard, it will open a new chapter in the construction of the standard system for drill-and-blast construction equipment, support the drill-and-blast construction equipment industry in seizing global discourse power, and continuously promote industry progress and prosperity.
