5月21日，深圳地铁16号线坪坪区间（即“坪山中学站~坪山围站”）右线顺利贯通。至此，16号线第33个单线盾构区间顺利贯通。
坪坪区间右线全长约598m，拼装管片399环。盾构机在下穿现状道路、居民楼、商业楼、学校、公园、坪山河以及燃气管线等重大风险源后，安全完成了该区间的掘进任务。
地铁16号线由大运站引出，沿龙岗大道、黄阁路、龙平路敷设，经龙岗老中心后沿深汕公路往南至坪山站，经坪山中心区后沿东纵路、金田路等路敷设至终点田心站。
线路全长约29.2km，设站24座。
