The county town's Binjiang West Road project officially broke ground recently, the supporting works for the Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway's Boluo North Station are striving for completion by the end of August, and key transportation projects such as Shuangyang Avenue and the Bozhong Dongjiang Bridge are being accelerated... In recent years, guided by the concept of "major external connectivity and major internal circulation," Boluo has closely aligned with the city's "Feng-shaped" road traffic main framework, comprehensively advanced the construction of key transportation projects, and promoted the formation of a rationally laid out, fully functional, and smoothly connected transportation infrastructure network.
According to the Boluo County Transport Bureau, Boluo is currently implementing seven key transportation projects, including Shuangyang Avenue and the Bozhong Dongjiang Bridge, and plans to soon launch construction of transportation projects such as the connecting line at the Mabei North Interchange of the Guangzhou-Heyuan Expressway. Once these roads and bridges are completed, Boluo's comprehensive transportation system will be further improved, the urban framework will be further expanded, and the efficient and coordinated development of the "one belt, one circle, one zone" will be promoted.

Upgrading road traffic for rapid external connectivity
Processing steel reinforcement, operating impact drills for piling... At the construction site of the Bozhong Dongjiang Bridge, workers are hard at work at various operation points, including the steel reinforcement processing workshop and the ramp pile foundations. Zhao Xianglin, the person in charge of the project's construction contractor, introduced that the project started in September last year, and 35 pile foundations have been poured so far. Next, a trestle bridge will be built and pile foundation construction will continue.
As an important passage connecting the north and south banks of the Dongjiang River in the county town, the Bozhong Dongjiang Bridge connects Bozhong Road to the north and Jiangnan Avenue to the south. Once completed, it will further strengthen the transportation links between Boluo county town and Huicheng and Zhongkai. The bridge is designed as a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Dongjiang River, with a main bridge length of about 710 meters and interchange ramps of about 1,750 meters. It is designed to the standard of a two-way, six-lane urban main road, with a total investment of about 769 million yuan, and is expected to be completed in 2023.
From Jiangnan Avenue and Shuanglong Avenue, which opened to traffic last year, to the Longjiang Dongjiang Bridge, which was put into use earlier this year, and then to the Bozhong Dongjiang Bridge and the second phase of the Longqiao Dongjiang Bridge, which are under construction, these are all concrete practices by which Boluo has continuously unblocked the "major arteries" of transportation and built rapid external connectivity. The construction and use of these roads and bridges are not only the main artery of transportation links for the county's "one belt, one circle," but also support for Boluo in breaking through transportation bottlenecks and integrating into the core city cluster of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The construction of high-speed railways will extend Boluo's transportation even further. At the construction site of the supporting works for the Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway's Boluo North Station, more than 100 workers are working with great enthusiasm. Lin Qiuze, the person in charge of the project's construction contractor, introduced that the project started construction in June last year. At present, the main structure of Corridor No. 2 has been completed, and the paving of the station square is also nearing completion. Foundation work is underway for Corridor No. 1, and road construction for Station Front Road and Station Front Avenue is expected to begin paving early next month. "At present, all land for the project has been delivered, and construction is expected to be completed by the end of August."
At the same time, the supporting works for the Guangzhou-Shanwei High-Speed Railway's Boluo Station and Luofushan Station are also being intensively advanced. Both projects started in September last year and are currently carrying out site clearing, earthwork leveling, and subgrade construction for Station Front Avenue. After the Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway and the Guangzhou-Shanwei High-Speed Railway open to traffic, these three high-speed railway stations will become hubs for Boluo's external transportation, helping Boluo integrate into the "Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong half-hour economic and living circle," greatly facilitating exchanges between Boluo and the Greater Bay Area city cluster as well as provinces to the north, and accelerating Boluo's development.

Improving internal passages for smooth internal circulation
Extending westward from the Bodong Science and Technology Park in Yangqiao Town and running parallel to the busy G205 line, the higher-standard Shuangyang Avenue is under orderly construction. Yuan Dongming, the person in charge of the Shuangyang Avenue construction contractor, introduced that Shuangyang Avenue started construction in April 2020 and is currently carrying out subgrade, bridge, and culvert construction, with completion planned for October this year.
As an important economic artery and livelihood artery in Boluo, Shuangyang Avenue starts in the west at the intersection of Tangjiao Village in Yangcun Town and Jinlong Avenue, passes through Yangcun Town, Yangqiao Town, and the Bodong Science and Technology Park—"two towns and one park"—and ends at Dakening Zhangmulou in Yangqiao Town. The project route has a total length of 8.11 kilometers. The highway grade is a first-class highway and urban main road, with two-way six lanes. After the road opens to traffic, it will not only effectively alleviate congestion on the Yangcun section of the G205 line, but also effectively connect the "two towns and one park," injecting new momentum into economic development.
To solve the problem of poor internal circulation of roads in the county town, Boluo has also launched the construction of Binjiang West Road. The Binjiang West Road project is located in Boluo county town, crossing over Daqiao North Road and Rongxili, connecting Binjiang Road to the east and Yuejiang Avenue to the west. The route is designed to be about 2.7 kilometers long and built to the standard of an urban main road with two-way six lanes, and is expected to be completed in 2024. By then, it will further improve the road network structure of the county town's major internal circulation, improve transportation infrastructure in old urban areas such as Shangye Middle Street and Shangye West Street, and at the same time enhance connections within the area along the Dongjiang River Economic Belt.
To build a modern comprehensive transportation system, it is necessary to accelerate the improvement of regional transportation and smooth internal micro-circulation, so as to unblock the "ren and du meridians" and enable Boluo's development to move forward steadily and rapidly with big strides. In addition to the construction of Shuangyang Avenue and Binjiang West Road, Boluo is also advancing a number of transportation construction projects to smooth internal circulation. At present, the reconstruction project of the Henghe section of Route X217 started in October last year and is carrying out subgrade and culvert construction; the interchange project between Chuanzhen Avenue and Luofu Avenue in Changning Town will also start construction soon to alleviate congestion at the intersection of G324 and Luofu Avenue. At the same time, transportation projects such as Shiwan Ring Road, Huangchaodun Avenue, Fuyuan Road in Yuanzhou Town, and Dongpo Avenue are also being accelerated.

Aligning with the "Feng-shaped" road traffic to build a major transportation system
Opening major external passages and smoothing internal micro-circulation, Boluo is striving to build a full, dynamic, internally connected, and externally accessible modern comprehensive transportation system, so that people can travel smoothly and goods can flow freely.
The new era confers new missions, and the new journey calls for new actions. Xue Wenxiong, director of the Boluo County Transport Bureau, introduced that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Boluo will align with the "Overall Layout Plan of Huizhou City's 'Feng-shaped' Transportation Main Framework," plan and build a comprehensive three-dimensional major transportation system on a large scale, and deeply promote the implementation of a large number of major transportation infrastructure projects into a network and into a settled pattern. At present, in accordance with the goals of networked layout, integrated integration, and high-quality development, Boluo has planned a series of transportation plans such as the "Boluo County Comprehensive Transportation System Plan" and the "Boluo County New Round County Road Network Plan."
According to the plan, the Huizhou Yanjiang Expressway in the "Feng-shaped" road traffic main framework connects Luoyang, Longxi, Yuanzhou, Shiwan, and other places in Boluo, and is the industrial backbone of Boluo County's economic belt along the Dongjiang River; the G324 northbound transportation axis will effectively densify the road network and build a north-south rapid corridor in the northern part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Boluo will also vigorously build backbone expressways in the "five horizontal and five vertical" network, such as Binjiang West Road (H1), Yuejiang Avenue (H1), Longkai Avenue (Z1), the extension of Feilong Avenue (Z2), and the Jinlong Avenue reconstruction project (Z4). These roads will directly pass through Boluo County, opening rapid external connection channels for Boluo to advance westward to Guangzhou and Foshan, integrate southward with Shenzhen and Dongguan, and connect eastward with Chaoshan, greatly strengthening Boluo's ties with surrounding cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
At present, there are 73 transportation projects under construction and newly launched in the county, including 24 projects with an investment of more than 50 million yuan. The increasingly dense road network will release "acceleration" and provide "new momentum" for Boluo's high-quality development.
