The reporter learned from the Shenyang Municipal Construction Committee that, as China's first pilot city for modern construction industrialization, Shenyang's modern construction industry achieved an output value of 77 billion yuan in the first half of this year, with component production capacity exceeding 4 million square meters. Projects planned to adopt prefabricated construction methods total 2.1 million square meters, and commercial housing projects planned to adopt full interior decoration total 4.3 million square meters of construction area, further consolidating the industry's status as a pillar industry.

　　Since the beginning of this year, Shenyang's modern construction industry has continued to lead the country in project construction scale, industrial park development, technical standards systems, and supporting industrial chain development. The principal person in charge of the Shenyang Municipal Construction Committee told the reporter that the application fields of Shenyang's modern construction industrialization technologies and products are being comprehensively expanded from building engineering to municipal roads, rail transit, and other areas. Prefabricated inspection wells, underground utility tunnels, pedestrian overpasses, precast concrete road pavers, and other building components, as well as integrated kitchens and bathrooms and ceramic panels, have already been applied in municipal roads and urban railway projects.

　　When prefabricated buildings were first promoted, relatively high prices were once a difficult problem for prefabricated building enterprises, but this problem has now been resolved. Zhang Jianguo, general manager of Yatai Group Shenyang Modern Construction Industry Co., Ltd., told the reporter, "Relying on technological innovation and process improvement, we have just won the bid for a 200,000-square-meter project, and the winning bid price is on par with traditional construction methods."

　　The Tiexi District Citizen Service Center in Shenyang, built with an all-steel frame structure, is the city's first prefabricated steel structure project. Song Biao, chairman of Zhongchen Steel Structure Engineering Co., Ltd., which is responsible for the project's construction, said: "Our self-developed Zhongchen prefabricated light steel and light concrete structural residential system—comprising box columns + H-shaped steel frames + truss floor bearing plates + grouted walls—saves 40%–60% of concrete and reduces on-site wet work by 50% compared with traditional cast-in-place concrete structure technology; compared with ordinary hot-rolled steel structure technology, it saves 15%–25% of steel; and with integrated design of prefabricated structures and decoration, it reduces construction waste and secondary decoration waste by more than 50%." At present, multiple prefabricated building technology systems, including precast concrete structure technology and steel structure technology, have been comprehensively promoted in Shenyang.

　　Ju Lihong, director of the Industry Office of the Shenyang Municipal Construction Committee, stated that in the second half of the year, Shenyang will build a national modern construction industry science and technology R&D center, engineering construction center, and testing and inspection center, fully promote the full interior decoration model for commercial housing, and extend the modern construction industry market to the entire Shenyang Economic Zone.
